Set in a desert, the ad builds suspense around a basketball aiming for a perfect shot, symbolizing Kobe’s relentless pursuit of greatness. Produced by Blank Square Productions, 50 Stars Cinema contributed by creating photorealistic desert backgrounds in Unreal Engine, simulating dynamic air particles in Houdini, and applying final touches in After Effects to bring the vision to life.
Creative Process
Our approach centered on creating a visual homage to Kobe Bryant. Using Unreal Engine, we crafted lifelike desert landscapes to set the stage, while Houdini added realistic air particle effects to enhance the scene’s dynamics. After Effects was used for the final compositing and polish, ensuring every shot conveyed the emotion and significance of Kobe’s legacy.
